Exercise For Autism
Sean specializes in activity and movement for children that have autism. Research suggests that exercise can improve certain behaviors, social skills, language development and focus within children that have autism.
The program targets five specific areas that this population need the most improvement in. The five areas are body image, posture, motor coordination, muscular fitness and cardiovascular fitness.
Visuals are extremely important when communicating with children that have autism, therefore visuals will be used with the child through out the program. This helps take the verbal command out when asking the child to engage in an activity and provides more of a structured program for them to complete.
These visuals will be delivered on a tablet with a special application developed for children that have autism. A tablet is used because of the increased participation and engagement when using electronics with children that have autism.
